President Trump is obsessed with the Norwegian Nobel Committee for awarding President Obama, Nobel Peace Prize even though he invaded Libya, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Somalia under his leadership. He argues that “I deserve a Nobel Peace Prize for reinstating peace worldwide using trade threats” but they won’t give me because they hate me. In contrast to his claims, the USA is funding the Ukraine war relentlessly and attacked Iran using B2 bombers violating their territorial integrity.

Trump’s achievements for claiming Nobel Prize
During his political campaign for Presidential elections 2025, Trump presented how he will deal with different countries under his administration. He announced his strategy to Isolate China, Nuclear deal with Iran, Peace with North Korea, Ceasefire between Russia-Ukraine, Stronger relations with India and Europe.
It’s been 6 months now since he took office. Let’s take a look at the status quo of his promises.
Russia-Ukraine War
Trump lured his voters that he will broker a ceasefire between these war-torn nations and will end this conflict in a week if he is elected and will immediately stop funding Ukraine. However, he signed executive orders to block dollar inflows but on-paper only.
In reality, the USA is continuously dumping millions in Ukraine to buy weapons from them. Thus, he failed to bring truce in this 3+ years long conflict.
Gaza Crisis
Trump during his rallies lauded a ‘’GAZA PLAN’’ to stop blood-shed in Palestinian territory. The plan consists of the roadmap of his action to end the conflict but it has not been implemented yet. In reality Israel is still fighting Iranian proxies Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis in Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen respectively.
Gaza is completely destroyed and the population is starving to death in the refugee camps slowly. There is no lasting peace deal and Hamas is still holding Jews hostages.
Iran Nuclear Talk
The United States has a clear cut policy that Iran can’t have Nuclear weapons. Trump pulled out the USA from JCPOA in 2018 citing cheating charges. However, during his campaign, he announced to bring Iran back on table for talks by applying ‘’Ultimate Pressure’’ on the Muslim regime.
Rather bringing peace, he initiated a new conflict ‘’Iran-Israel’’ war to destabilize the Middle East, forcing Iran to block Hormuz strait. He ordered the US Air Force to bomb Tehran’s nuclear sites using B2 bombers fearing radiation spread. Does he really stand out as a proprietor for the Nobel Peace prize?
Houthis hindering trade routes
Houthi, the Iranian proxy in Yemen is continuously targeting carrier ships linked with Israel and USA. They even target other country ships if their crew members are Israelis or Americans. Due to attack fear, many carrier ships have started preferring longer routes avoiding the Suez canal.
Trump pledged to wipe off Houthis fear and establish free & open trading routes. No doubt, the US military attacked Yemen under his leadership leading to an agreement. But after Israel invaded Iran, they broke the agreement and have again started targeting ships flowing through the Red Sea.
India-Pakistan Ceasefire claims
POTUS has claimed more than 10 times of brokering a ceasefire between the recent India-Pakistan conflict threatening trade restrictions. However, the Government of India rejected all his false claims and said during a media briefing that Pakistan DGMO first initiated a ceasefire call to the Indian side and then India stopped. There was no role of the US government or Trump in it.
MEA of India also pressed ‘’Operation Sindoor’’ is only paused and not over yet. His continuous pseudo claims of ceasefire and posturing himself as peace maker has dented India-US strategic relations.
Countering China
Trump has promised its voters to isolate China globally using trade war and sanctions. But in reality, he can’t withstand the Chinese blockade over Rare Earth minerals for more than a few weeks. He was forced to sign a deal with China to fight spiking inflation.
His Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, warned the world that China could capture Taiwan in the coming years. So his plan of containing China has backfired into expanding China.
Korean Turmoil
Continuous ignorance of various US governments has pushed North Korea in the lap of the Russian Federation. They are sending troops to fight against Ukraine. Trump has been vocal for better relations with the estranged nation but nothing has happened on ground. If during his tenure, he brokers a peace accord between North and South Korea, it would lay a milestone for global peace.
Pakistan Approval
Recently, Pakistani Field Marshal Asim Munir went to the USA to attend the president’s lunch invitation at the White House which raised eyebrows of policy makers at India and Iran both. After his return, the Pakistani government officially recommended the Nobel Peace prize for Trump and thanked him for his decisive role in the ceasefire.
Will the Norwegian Nobel committee take consideration from a terrorist state who is indulged in violence globally through its bigotry hub. Do their approval matters?
The obvious answer is No as the Muslim nation does not owe any diplomatic, economic or military impact worldwide.
Congo-Rwanda Peace deal
Donald Trump facilitated a peace agreement between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda. The deal aims to end a thirty-year conflict. As part of the agreement, Rwanda troops will withdraw from Eastern Congo. In return, the President of Congo is considering nominating Trump for the Nobel Peace prize. It’s good for both African nations but it remains to be seen how long the agreement will last.
Brokering between these two impactless countries doesn’t make any sense. It is not a milestone to be counted on. African nations have negligible impact over the global economy. Their war does not skyrocket crude prices or hinder trade routes. So, if Mr. Trump thinks doing these tiny things would reward him the Nobel Peace Prize, then this is a Big, Bad, Beautyless idea.
